Kesophane is regenerated cellulose film, of glass clear transparency & sparkle. It is flexible & yet tough. It withstands all the beating in an automatic packaging operation & shows outstanding machineability as well as dimensional stability. It is made from natural wood & hence it is non toxic & biodegradable. SMB is one of the largest distributor of Cellophane paper in India. Kesophane is mainly used for packaging purposes. The main advantage of Kesophane vis a vis its substitutes is that it is of much superior quality. Also it sticks on its own w/o the use of adhesives. Kesophane can also be twisted much easily as compared to its substitutes. Application includes packaging, cracker making etc.
