Contactless Cards (Proximity Cards)
Contactless
Cards (Proximity Cards) are smart cards that uses radio frequencies to
provide a wireless connection to the reader. The transmission rage is
only a couple of inches, but allows the card to be quickly passed by a
reader in applications such as secured entrances. Contactless
technology typically takes the form of a small chip & an antena
embedded in a plastic card.
There are two types of contact less cards:
- ID Contactless Cards which are only readable
- IC Contactless Cards which are readable & writable.
Contactless cards are available in precut card format in size CR-80. It
is also available in A4 sheets (8 cards/sheet) in lay form which can be
used with inkjet printable overlay. It is a single card available in wo
varieties.
- PVC + ABS - These cards are made out of PVC & ABS combined. It is available in 1.5 mm approx
- PVC + PVC - These cards are made only of PVC. It is available in 0.80mm.
Inkjet Printable PVC Set (Over Lay & Core Lay)
These sheets are used to create cards through Inkjet
Printing. The main advantage here is clear image, actual colour, fast
drying & strong lamination.
Available in A4 sizes, 1 set includes:
- An Opaque Core Lay (0.30mm) which is coated for Inkjet printing,
- A Translucent Over Lay (0.08mm) which is coated
for lamination on the Inkjet Printed Sheet. The Over Lay sheets are
available in 2 varieties – Strong Bonding & Normal Bonding.
- Also available Anti UV/ANTI FADING INKJET
PRINTABLE SHEETS which contain an additional UV protection & anti
fading layer for longer durability (5-10 yrs).
- These are also available in Golden/Silver Sheets.
Instant Laminate Sheets (Dragon Sheets):
- To solve problems like high investment, low speed
& towering cost, Dragon Sheets are used. The main advantage here is
that it’s instant, convenient & easy to operate which makes it
ideal for on spot card creation. Here, an inkjet printer is used to
print on the Over Lay. These sheets are available in 200 X 300 mm &
the total thickness here is 0.76 mm (0.15mm + 0.46mm + 0.15mm).
- Dragon Sheets are also available with Anti UV Protection Layer which increases the longitivity of a card.
- These are also available in Golden/Silver Sheets.
Plain Core & Overlay:
- PVC Over Lay Sheets are Uncoated Translucent
Sheets which are used as overlay for all types of card manufacturing.
Available in 0.10mm, 0.20mm & 0.25mm.
- PVC Core Lay Sheets are Uncoated Opaque White
Sheets which are used in all types of card printing. Available in
0.20mm, 0.25mm & 0.30mm.
- Also available special quality suitable for OFFSET PRINTING.
- Also available White Opaque Sheets with masking suitable for all kinds of cards. Available in 0.70mm.
Thermal Printable Cards:
For dye sublimation machines only pre cut cards
can be used. The main advantage is that these cards does not require
any fusing & can be directly printed by a thermal printer.
